African development through STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE
African development through STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE
I have a favourite quote – There is a market for the best of everything – Donald Trump
This quote is fascinating, because it means no matter what you do, even if you are a Janitor, the market forces, will demand the supply of your excellent cleaning service.
There are plenty of services offered in Africa by Africans, however for some reason, the best of Africans don’t patronise the service or product of fellow Africans. The reason is quality, standards, specifications of excellence and brand name recognition. For every good African product of world standard quality brand, there are about 4 other poor African products. This is the reason why most Africans who demand quality buy foreign products by default, which continues the vicious cycle of underdevelopment.
So the solution is for every product manufacturer and service provider to define their Quality specification design manual and train their staff to meet the specification in an on-going process of what the Japanese call KAIZEN.
Quality specification manual à Training & skills competency programs à Excellent product/service
Every organisation type has its unique offering and ways of providing those offering. Therefore careful attention needs to be paid to the design of both Quality specs, training design courses and implementation of the standards. For more information see www.debonairtraining.com/moodle or inbox me.
